I'm sure we've all seen those 'before and after' pictures of huge bodybuilders who had to stop working out (maybe because of injury or personal choice) and went from being massive to looking sort of "flabby", like their skin is stretched. This is often notable in steroid users who compete and completely stop lifting, perhaps because of an injury. Their skin doesn't look the same as a regular fat person, or a regular person who has never lifted. Is this look just from excess fat, or is the skin actually stretched?
I have many questions about this. In either case, would their skin ever return to normal? By normal, I mean their overall muscle tone and skin would look like someone who has never lifted / gotten fat? Assuming they also lower their calories and eat like a normal person as well?
Also I'm not referring to the average lifter. I'm talking about swole individuals, either those on steroids or those with freak genetics. What happens with their skin if they lose their muscle and return to normal levels of bodyfat/muscle?
